Mary is a bookish young woman when she meets the celebrated poet Percy Shelley, a married womanizer. Mary seeks an unconventional life but is naive about the debt-ridden bon vivant she has chosen against her father's wishes. While on an idle in a Swiss chalet she composes the most influential horror novel of all time but she finds it difficult to find a publisher for a woman writer.  "a luscious looking period drama"
